LA Galaxy Fans Should Boo David Beckham

David Beckham has left AC Milan and is headed back to LA to play out the rest of the season for the Galaxy. The Galaxy have already played just under half of the MLS games on their schedule this season. If you ask me the boo birds should come a calling for Beckham the second he steps on the pitch for LA this Saturday at Toronto. (Read More)

 I had a very interesting experience last Saturday. Let me preface this by saying what I’m  sure a lot of you have figured out from some of my other soccer related articles that I am a fan of the game. I’m not a diehard, but I am a fan and I do enjoy watching it. I’m a big fan of European soccer, but I watch the MLS when it’s on as well. I’ve been to a handful of Chicago Fire games and they were enjoyable enough. This weekend, however, was one of the cooler soccer experiences that I’ve had. It certainly wasn’t as cool as cheering on a local team in a pub in Paris, but it certainly was fun. (Read More)

LA Should Just Let Beckham Stay in Milan

When David Beckham came to the United States to play for the LA Galaxy I had nothing but respect for him. I was excited, I thought that this would be great for the MLS and soccer in America. It seemed like a perfect fit, soccer’s golden boy in one of America’s largest markets. Who wouldn’t want to watch that?

As it turns out, Beckham’s influence on the popularity of soccer in the US was huge. Everywhere that LA went to play the game sold out. As an initial impact, this was great, people wanted to come out to see David Beckham play. There was even talk of Zinedine Zidane coming to join the MLS as well. When Beckham came here, I thought that there would for sure be an influx of European players that might be interested in coming to play here with the same intentions of Beckham, that is to grow the popularity of soccer in our country.
