It’s that time of year again in the NHL and I’ll offer an analysis of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference as well as some predictions in the first round series. The NHL brought the Winter Classic to the Frozen Confines of Wrigley Field for the third edition of the outdoor hockey, played between the Red Wings and Blackhawks. The Hawks got out to a 3-1 lead before the Wings scored five straight goals and eventually won 6-4.

Nearly 41,000 fans showed up to witness the first hockey game played at Wrigley and it was another outstanding job done by the NHL, planning this event. The atmosphere was electric and the league will likely make this an annual game but with different venues and teams involved. (Read More)
