Moneyball Film Delayed

June 22nd, 2009 by Jim Fox in Major League Baseball

In what was one of the best sports books I’ve ever read, Moneyball would be an equally great movie. Instead a rewritten script has delayed the shooting of the film, which would star Brad Pitt. The book was written by Michael Lewis and details the career of A’s general manager Billy Beane, both as a player and exectutive. Sony better get their act together and make this happen. [Bloomberg]

Are you kidding me? Billy Beane is a terrible GM. How could a film about losing be good? And Brad Pitt as Beane? Please
