One of the most phenomenal things about baseball is the Cubs organization’s ability to breed futility. Their reputation for failure is simply astonishing and every little thing is magnified to the fullest extent. In what was one of the best sports books I’ve ever read, Moneyball would be an equally great movie. Instead a rewritten script has delayed the shooting of the film, which would star Brad Pitt.
