Curry Moves From Single A To The Major Leagues

After a great season against mediocre competition in the Big South Conference, Seth Curry has decided to accept a scholarship at Duke after deciding to transfer from Liberty. The younger brother of Stephen Curry made the right decision and will really help himself become a much better player in one of the best conferences in the country, the ACC. (Read More)

Gillispie Two And Done at UK

Leading a team to a 40-27 record in two seasons isn’t bad at most schools but at the University of Kentucky, it doesn’t mean anything if you don’t win in the postseason and frankly, that record simply isn’t good enough either. After two seasons, head coach Billy Gillispie has been fired at UK, now the team will focus on trying to land Florida coach Billy Donovan. [AP]

Fire Officer Robert Powell Immediately

A Dallas police officer thought that he was doing his job when he stopped Houston Texans running back Ryan Moats for running a red light while he was speeding to the hospital to see his mother-in-law, who was about to pass from breast cancer. After 20 minutes and one ticket later, Moats was unable to say good-bye. Thankfully his wife was able to.

Officer Powell’s inability to exercise good judgment and common sense should leave the Dallas Police Force no choice but to immediately relieve him of all his duties. There is no time where a simple ticket will be more important than a human life, something that Powell fails to understand. (Read More)

Schilling Retires After 20 Seasons

Twenty year veteran, three-time World Series champion and future Hall of Famer Curt Schilling announced on his blog today that he will be retiring. He missed all of last season with a shoulder injury and the game will miss one of the most colorful players ever to play.  Check out his post at [38Pitches].

Down To The Sweet 16

After one of the best weekends in all of sports, we have gone from 64 teams all the way down to 16 after the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament. No major surprises with the exception of 12-seed Arizona. The Tournament will pick up again on Thursday with these matchups. (Read More)

JR’s NCAA Bracket Breakdown

While trying to fill out my bracket I have had a very tough time. This has to be one of the best put together brackets that I can remember, and because of this it is very hard to pick these tough match-ups. I have quite a few picks that might deem me a raving loon, but I have a pretty solid foundation for them. That being said, I will share with you my thoughts on this years NCAA tournament and some of the more intriguing match-ups. I am going to start with the first round games and go through all the brackets and then come back around for potential 2nd, 3rd, and so on. (Read More)
